NEW - ONLINE course from J & J Greenwood
Jim's offering a new on-line course, specifically aimed at sighthound owners, as he's unable to do face to face courses atm due to Covid19. This is what he says:
“ Our new course "Training leads to freedom" Foundation launches today.
A must for anyone with sighthound in particular as could not help but base it around the needs of the sighthound. Don’t worry if you are not fortunate to have a sighthound the lessons work for any dog. Join us and give you dog the skills to be free and make those walks something special.
In these strange times in an attempt to help 10% of profits from course will go to sighthound rescues who have lost many of their fund raising opportunities
Help your self and others at the same time
Stay safe everyone.”
And for anyone who's not familiar with Jim and his work, I'd recommend you go and have a nosy at his website. Plus, he's kindly donating 10% of his profit from this course to Greyhound Gap and Lurcher Link

Keep Your Dogs Safe
The Dogs Trust have teamed up with Yale Products to try and lower the amount of dogs stolen from homes each year. The number of dogs being taken is escalating as certain people realise there’s easy money to be made out of this awful business. Try and make it too difficult for them to get their hands on your dogs:
Nearly 1,000 pooches were pinched from homes & gardens last year so we've teamed up with Yale UK to bring you advice for keeping your dog safe. Take a look at our home security tips & discounts on selected security products ➡️ bit.ly/DogsTrustYale 🔐 #DogsTrustYale
And if you go to the Yale website, using the Dogs Trust code, you can get a discount on certain products which may help make your home and garden safer:

If the worst should happen, get on to Dog Lost asap : https://doglost.co.uk/
Always make sure your dog’s microchip details are up to date: you’ve got a relevant ID tag on their collar and it helps if you have a recent photo of them to use on a missing poster.
Free Insurance with Pet Plan
I’m very happy to inform you that we can now offer 4 weeks FREE pet insurance with Pet Plan when you adopt one of our dogs.
Plus… if you decide to continue with the insurance from Pet Plan after that 4 weeks, Lurcher Link will receive 10% of your policy premium and 10% each year the policy renews. We are also entered into a monthly draw to win £500 each time we give out a 4 weeks free pet insurance voucher.
So, if you’re thinking of adopting one of our dogs, please also consider the free 4 weeks pet insurance offer as it helps Lurcher Link too :)
Canine Choice Food and Lurcher Link
Lurcher Link has been approached by Paws.com and asked if we’d like to take part in their shelter support scheme which would involve them offering us their Canine Choice dog food, free of charge, for all of the shelter dogs for the next 6 months. Plus - not only that but, for every bag of food bought, for their own dog through Paws.com, people can donate a nutritious meal to a dog in need at no extra cost!
Plus we have a personalised discount code : LURCHERLINK30 which offers friends of Lurcher Link a 30% discount off their first big bag of Canine Choice.
So if you’re looking for a tasty and nutritious food for your Lurcher, why not have a look at Canine Choice and submit your dog’s profile to their feeding guide and see what they come up with? I did this for Odd Job and this was the result: https://paws.com/pets/33240/food .
They’ll show you how their food compares to other well known brands such as James Wellbeloved and AATU . You can get a trial size bag without committing yourself to a huge one, just to make sure your dog likes the food. If you’ve got any queries, you can just drop them a line through their site and see if you can find the perfect food for your dog.
